Anxiety Lessons from Oxycodone

don’t let others tell you how to live your life

--

About two weeks ago I had collar bone surgery. That’s what happens when you land full force on your collar bone while downhill mountain biking. After surgery, they prescribed me some Oxycodone to help with the pain. This was especially helpful right when the nerve block ran out!

this is my actual x-ray by the way

But I also noticed something strange when taking the drug. I noticed that it is a drug! They are scary powerful! It not only helped with my pain levels but also calmed me down and made me feel less anxious. As dangerous as this might be regarding addiction, it also made me realize something about myself.

“I have a lot more anxiety than I thought”

I have met many people who struggle with anxiety, but I never thought I did. I have a personal philosophy about anxiety. I basically believe there are two types of anxiety:

Spiritual anxiety and mental anxiety
