Is there such a thing as a Good Book Adaptation?

my ultimate review of Stephen King’s It and the dazzlingly bold adaptation that follows

I have always been a fan of the horror and suspense genre. I think it has something to do with my addiction to adrenaline. Of all the books and movies I have read/seen, I believe Stephen King is truly the king of this genre! One of the most recent works I finally got around to was It.

It. Was. Fantastic!

After finishing the book I immediately rewatched the movie for the first time since I saw it in theaters. I think it is silly to say a book is better than its movie. It is silly because it should so obviously be a given. A book has sooooooo much more content than a movie! It is unfair to compare them. According to kindle, reading It took me about 45 hours, compared to the movie which took the better part of an afternoon. They are two completely different forms of entertainment, and the work and creativity that goes into them are different beasts altogether.
